The Battle of New Captains: IPL 2023 Summer Showdown Begins March 31st

The IPL Summer Showdown is set to begin on March 31st. This time, many teams are entering the field with new captains. But who are the captains with the power to win the trophy? Let’s take a look at their past achievements.

Markram – SRH

This time, the Orange Army has chosen Markram as its captain. In 2016, David Warner brought the trophy to Sunrisers Hyderabad as captain. In 2018, Kane Williamson led the team to the finals. However, the team has let go of Kane this time and entrusted the responsibility to Markram. Markram has been in great form lately. He has also captained the South African team. He won the trophy for the Sunrisers in the SA20 league as well. The Sunrisers’ team also looks strong this time. MS Dhoni – Chennai

He has been leading Chennai since 2008. Dhoni captained in 210 matches and won 123 of them. He has won 4 titles. Du Plessis – RCB

Last season, Bangalore appointed Du Plessis as their captain. He won 9 out of 16 matches last year and took the team to the playoffs. However, RCB is known for its bad luck in the IPL.
