  • The Top 10 Indian movies of the first half of 2022 are dominated by 7 South flicks

The movie industry was different before and after the pandemic. Since the COVID outbreak, the film business has seen a significant transformation. In this post-pandemic period, the theatrical run has grown to be a challenge for the movies. With a few notable exceptions, the bulk of movies are underperforming at the box office for a variety of reasons.

The worrying aspect of the movie industry in the post-pandemic age was covered in  our previous article. By clicking the link below, you can read the article.

Going for the Film Business theatrical market is tough, even Tollywood is not immune to it

We are already halfway into 2022, but only a few films have managed to succeed at the box office. It’s interesting to note that the South’s film industry completely dominated at this time. In 2022, Bollywood has actually fallen to new lows. The Hindi cinema industry is now working on a variety of significant projects, including Shamsheera, Brahmastra, Laal Singh Chadda, and Vikram Vedha, but the pressure is really on the B-Town.

The South, on the other hand, enjoyed an incredible run over the past six months thanks to classic blockbusters like RRR, KGF-2, and Vikram. The stories of midrange and offbeat films of the south resemble the disastrous run of Bollywood.  Even in the southern film industry, smaller films struggle to find an audience.

Let’s take a look at the Top-10 biggest hits of the Indian film industry in the first half of 2022.
