This Week’s OTT &  Telugu Movie Releases (10th  May)

Over the past few weeks, smaller films have been making noise at the box office. With the festival of Dussehra approaching, both theaters and OTT platforms are gearing up to captivate audiences with some exciting releases. Let’s see what’s special this time.

Movies Releasing in Theaters

Devara

Directed by Koratala Siva and starring NTR as the protagonist, the action drama ‘Devara‘ features Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady. This movie, which has completed all its pre-release formalities, is set for a pan-India release on September 27. NTR will be seen in a dual role after many years, playing both Devara and Vara. The promotional materials released so far have heightened expectations. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist, with Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko in significant roles.

Sathyam Sundaram

Tamil star Karthi featured in the feel-good movie ‘Meiyazhagan,’ directed by C. Prem Kumar, who previously crafted the film ’96.’ This film, titled ‘Satyam Sundaram’ in Telugu, is set to release on September 28. Arvind Swamy plays a pivotal role in this movie, which is produced under the banner of 2D Entertainment by Suriya and Jyothika. The story, set in a wedding pavilion, revolves around the characters Satyam and Sundaram and is humorously unfolded by director C. Prem Kumar.

Hitler

The latest film from Tamil hero Vijay Antony, ‘Hitler’ is an action thriller directed by Dhana. Produced by DT Raja and DR Sanjay Kumar, this movie is set to have a grand theatrical release similar to ‘Devara’ on September 27 across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The recent trailer released by the makers has been very well received.

Streaming Movies and Series on OTT

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram

Directed by Vivek Athreya and starring Nani, ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram‘ has achieved blockbuster success and is now ready to charm OTT audiences. Streaming on Netflix from September 26, the film features Nani alongside Priyanka Mohan with SJ Suryah playing the antagonist. Sai Kumar, Abhirami, and Aditi Balan are in key roles.

Demonte Colony 2

‘Demonte Colony 2‘, starring Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar, recently released to positive reviews. Directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu, this horror thriller thrilled audiences in August and is now set to stream on OTT. Starting from September 27, it will be available on Zee5 in Telugu and Tamil. This film is a sequel to the 2015 hit ‘Demonte Colony’.

Munjya

Starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma, the recent Bollywood blockbuster ‘Munjya’, produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films’ universe, has been successful at the box office. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film recently streamed in Hindi and is now available in Telugu and Tamil versions on Disney+ Hotstar.
