Netflix has acquired the OTT rights for Tillu Square, finalizing the transaction at a substantial amount. Rumors indicate the streaming giant shelled out somewhere between Rs. 13 to Rs. 15 crores for the rights, underscoring Tillu Square’s notable success. As the movie continues to perform impressively at the box office, the filmmakers are elated about achieving robust figures on the OTT platform as well.

Is There a Sequel for Tillu Square?

Following the hit film DJ Tillu, Tillu Square emerged as its sequel. With this movie’s success, there’s a growing anticipation among fans for yet another sequel. Buzz about a potential sequel had been circulating even before Tillu Square hit the screens, intensifying after its release. Addressing these speculations post-release, the filmmakers noted that, unlike DJ Tillu, which teased a sequel in its climax, Tillu Square did not, leading many to assume there wouldn’t be a follow-up. Despite this, fans are still secretly hoping for a continuation in the form of Tillu Cube.

Initially, the makers were concerned that if they made a sequel to Tillu Square, they might not meet audience expectations and could face difficulties. Producer Naga Vamsi mentioned this concern. However, at a success meet held on Friday evening, when the media asked if there would be a Tillu Cube, they received an answer. “Actually, the media and my distributors gave me an idea about the sequel. I discussed this with the hero Siddu, and we’ve decided to go ahead with it soon. We’ll announce Tillu 3 with the heroine in slow motion at the climax. The audience will see this from Monday,” was the clear message given. The announcement of Tillu Cube has delighted DJ Tillu fans.
