Kannada actor Yash captured attention nationwide with his film ‘KGF‘. Following its success, ‘KGF 2‘ further cemented his fanbase with its performance at the box office, sparking widespread interest in his next project. Recently, Yash embarked on the pan-India project ‘Toxic’. The release of Yash’s look from the movie set the trends buzzing, leading many to anticipate ‘Toxic’ as a surefire blockbuster. However, there’s now a rampant buzz online that the filming of ‘Toxic’ has unexpectedly come to a halt.
Yash’s Trust Shaken!
After achieving pan-India stardom with ‘KGF’, Kannada’s rocking star Yash is currently involved in ‘Toxic’. Post ‘KGF 2’, Yash took a significant break to begin ‘Toxic’ with confidence in director Geetu Mohandas. Rumors also surfaced that Nayanthara, Shruti Hassan, and Kiara Advani were selected as the female leads. The movie, set against the backdrop of an international drug mafia, sparked interest. However, it appears that Yash is not completely satisfied with Geetu Mohandas’s direction after some shooting was done. He believes she has not handled this pan-India project well, leading to viral news online that he has stopped the production midway.
What’s Reality?
The ongoing buzz about ‘Toxic’ halting is false. Film circles clarify that while ‘Toxic’ has indeed paused, it has not been canceled. The stoppage is temporary due to certain reasons, and filming is expected to resume soon. Preparations are underway to release the movie in theaters by mid-2025, bringing joy to Yash’s fans who are urging the team to ensure ‘Toxic’ surpasses ‘KGF’.
No Competition with Prabhas!
Originally, the ‘Toxic’ team planned a release on April 10 next year, coinciding with the release of Prabhas and Maruthi’s ‘Raja Saab‘. This was anticipated to create a major box office clash. However, the unexpected break in ‘Toxic’s’ shooting makes a release by April 2025 nearly impossible, thus avoiding any direct competition with Prabhas. If all goes as planned, ‘Toxic’ might hit the screens around June or July next year.
Yash’s Career Turnaround with ‘KGF’!
Before ‘KGF’, Yash acted in 19 Kannada films but didn’t achieve the star status he hoped for, remaining a tier-2 hero in Sandalwood. His career transformed overnight with ‘KGF’, directed by Prashanth Neel, discussing him at a pan-India level. The massive success of ‘KGF 2’ solidified his fame, making Yash very cautious with his steps thereafter. He waited two years post ‘KGF 2’ for the right subject before finally committing to ‘Toxic’.
