Vijay Deverakonda and Charmee are frustrated with Puri Jagannadh’s decision

Trade analysts predict that “Liger” will be a worse failure than “Acharya.” Even a 30% recovery for the movie seems impossible. On Monday, the movie’s hold was completely erased, and now other movies are being screened in its place. The Telugu theatrical rights were purchased by distributor Warangal Srinu, who anticipated a loss of 70 crore on this movie.

The co-producer of “Liger,” Charmee, will likewise sustain significant losses as a result of this endeavour. There is no doubt that the actress-turned-producer would regret turning down a 200 crore OTT contract for a straight OTT release of “Liger.” She and the director Puri Jagannadh decided to go with a theatrical release, but it only greeted them with losses of roughly 90 crore. According to rumours from within the industry, Charmee was apparently interested in the OTT deal, but Puri Jagannadh persuaded her to choose a theatrical release. Another major loser in this project is the actor Vijay Deverakonda. He lost three of his peak years to “Liger,” and he received harsh criticism for his remarks and contentious interviews, which turned him into a social media meme.
