Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ is struggling to put up some respectable numbers at the box office. The movie has been in the news for all the bad news recently. This movie has been flatly rejected by the Telugu audience. On its fourth day (Sunday), the film merely made 55 lakhs at the box office. Surprisingly, though, “Liger” is performing well in the Hindi market. “Liger” made about 3.75 crore on its third day in Hindi (the movie was released a day later in Hindi). “Liger” might succeed in the Hindi language if it is able to keep strong during the weekdays in the Hindi belt.
Let’s take a look at the numbers
4 days collection of Liger (Telugu) in A.P and Telangana
Day 1 | 9.57 Cr |
Day 2 | 1.54 Cr |
Day 3 | 1.00 Cr |
Day 4 | 55 L |
Total (AP+TG) | 12.66 Cr (21.45 Cr gross) |
3 Days collections of Liger (Hindi) in Hindi Belt
Day 1 | 4.50 Cr |
Day 2 | 4.30Cr |
Day 3 | 3.75 Cr |
Total (AP+TG) | 12.55 Cr |
The collections in Hindi on day 3 could have been better but they were affected by the India Vs Pakistan cricket match.
Due to its expensive theatrical pre-release business ‘Liger’ will remain hefty losses for distributors in Telugu region.
