After a nearly two-year hiatus, Sai Dharam Tej returned to the screen. The first film he did after recovering from a road accident was Virupaksha. The released teasers and songs have already raised expectations among the audience. Sai had claimed that he had lost his speech after the accident, so how did he perform in the movie? Did another director coming from Sukumar’s factory succeed? Or not? Let’s find out how Sukumar’s screenplay worked.

    Director: Karthik Dandu

Cast: Sai Dharam Tej,  Samyuktha Menon, Sonia Singh, Ravi Krishna

    Music: Ajaneesh Loknath

    Cinematography: Shamdat

    Story

In a village called Rudravaram, several people mysteriously die. Are these deaths happening due to some curse or is someone committing the murders? To solve this mystery, hero Sai Dharam Tej takes action. What is Nandini’s role? Who is behind the real death mystery? That’s the story.

    How did the movie Fare?

The director started the movie with a curse on the village of Rudravaram and swiftly moved into the story without any delays. Sai Dharam plays Surya, and Samyuktha Menon  plays Nandini. The director moved the story forward while depicting their love track. These scenes might seem a bit boring to the audience. However, before the interval, the real story begins with some thrilling situations, which pique the interest for the second half.

As people in the village die one by one, the director filled the second half with sequences to unravel the mystery behind it. The gripping storytelling keeps the audience glued to their seats. The film stays strong up until the pre-climax. However, it must be said that there is a bit of confusion towards the end.

    Performances

Sai Dharam Tej’s role in this comeback film is exceptional, showcasing another level of acting from the young hero. He completely immersed himself in the role of Surya and captivated the audience with his stellar performance. Samyuktha Menon’s presence in the film is also a plus. This heroine, who has been delivering consecutive hits, has impressed the audience once again. She has added another hit to her account, and her acting in the pre-climax scene is captivating. Supporting actors like Sonia Singh and Ajay have performed beyond their roles’ boundaries and impressed the audience.

    Technical Aspects

Debutant director Karthik Dandu, who is Sukumar’s protege, has delivered a hit with his first film. Just as Buchibabu with Uppena and Srikant Odela with Dasara impressed the audience, Karthik has also showcased his skills in a similar manner. He has handled the Virupaksha film excellently. Another plus point of the film is the screenplay, which was provided by Sukumar himself. It turned out to be fantastic and elevated the film to another level.

Ajanesh Loknath has infused life into the Virupaksha film with his music. He impressed with the music he provided for Kantara, and he has done the same for Virupaksha. The background score he has given for the film is a significant asset. The music director has done full justice to the film. The cinematography is also impressive, and the production values are not compromised.
