In the Indian market, Redmi is one of the top-selling brands. The Chinese company Xiaomi keeps attracting mobile enthusiasts by introducing new models from time to time. Recently, Xiaomi released several models and introduced the Xiaomi 14 Series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 event on February 25th last month. This series includes Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra models. These phones are going to be launched in India from March 7th. Xiaomi India confirmed this by releasing an official post. The models to be released are!
Following the Xiaomi 13 Series, Xiaomi is about to launch a new series in the domestic market. However, unlike the previous series where Xiaomi 13 Ultra model, among others, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro had made their way into India, this time, it’s anticipated that only the basic and pro models will be released in India. Let’s examine the features of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro variants.
Mobile Screen
The Xiaomi 14 variant will come with a 6.36-inch AMOLED panel, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be slightly larger at 6.73 inches to be launched in India. Both these models will have a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,000nits brightness, IP68 water resistance rating, Android 14 OS, and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
RAM & Storage
The Xiaomi 14 model is expected to initially come with an 8GB RAM / 256GB storage option. The Pro model is rumored to arrive with 12GB RAM / 256GB ROM. There might be other storage options available in these models, with clarity expected to emerge on March 7th. Xiaomi has also provided the option to virtually expand the RAM.
Battery
The Xiaomi 14 variant will come with a 4,610mAh battery and support 90W fast charging. The Pro model will be equipped with a 4,880mAh battery and will support up to 120W fast charging. Both models will support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging. Xiaomi claims these mobiles can be charged very quickly and will have a long battery life.
Camera
The camera is a major attraction in the Xiaomi 14 series. The Xiaomi 14 variant launched with a 50MP + 50MP + 50MP camera setup and a 32 MP selfie camera. The Pro model will also feature 50MP + 50MP + 50 MP rear cameras along with a 32 MP front camera. Interestingly, the Ultra model in this series will feature an extraordinary 50MP + 50MP + 50MP + 50MP camera setup along with a 32MP selfie sensor.
Connectivity Features
The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro variants share almost identical connectivity features, including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g, GPS, Bluetooth v5.40, NFC, and USB Type-C. They also come equipped with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Colors
The basic Xiaomi 14 model is available in three color options: Black, White, and Jade Green. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to arrive in India in four color variants: Classic Black, Rock Blue, Snow Mountain Pink, and White, according to tech circles.
Price?
The official announcement regarding the prices of the Xiaomi 14 series in India is expected on March 7th, along with more clarity on its features. However, tech circles speculate that the starting price of the Xiaomi 14 model could be around Rs. 50,000. The Xiaomi 14 Pro price could go up to Rs. 80,000. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra variant (16GB + 1TB) is expected to be priced as high as Rs. 1,01,300, as per various tech websites.
