Saripodhaa Sanivaaram

IC814: The Kandahar Hijack

Based on one of the largest hijackings in the world, the series “IC814: The Kandahar Hijack” is directed by Anubhav Sinha. Starring Vijay Varma, Aravind Swamy, Dia Mirza, and Naseeruddin Shah, this series begins streaming on Netflix from August 29. In 1999, Indian Airlines Flight 814 with 188 passengers was hijacked by terrorists. The passengers were held hostage for nearly 7 days. This incident, one of the most significant in global aviation history, serves as the basis for this highly anticipated series.
