Senior journalist Gudipudi Srihari garu passed away last night. For a while, the legendary columnist and film critic was suffering from respiratory disease. He took his last breath yesterday at his residence in Sanjeevaiah Reddy Nagar (SR Nagar) Colony in Hyderabad last night. He passed away at the age of 88 years. He has a daughter named Jyoti and a son named Sriram. His funeral will be held once his children arrive because both of his children reside abroad.
Gudipudi Srihari is the pioneer of cinema journalism in Telugu cinema. He has written reviews for magazines like Sitara, Eenadu, Hindu, and Filmfare. Back then, people looked forward to his reviews. His death is mourned by the Telugu Film Journalists Association.
