The movie “Thank You,” starring Naga Chaitanya, was released in cinemas last Friday. This film turned out to be the biggest disappointment for Naga Chaitanya and producer Dil Raju as it crashed right from the second day. “Thank you” performed very poorly across all centers, irrespective of the regions. “Thank you” will go down as the biggest disaster in Naga Chaitanya’s career.
“Thank You” Five Day Collections
The film had a poor opening weekend of 4 crore. It managed to make around 7 crores globally in five days, which is pitiful when compared to the movie’s breakeven point, which is estimated at 27 crores.
Due to lack of audience, many of the centers have already cancelled the shows. According to industry analysts, “Thank You” will follow “Acharya” on the list of films with zero shares. Which is obviously a terrible record.
Amazon Rejects “Thank You” Early OTT Deal
Producer Dil Raju attempted to negotiate an early OTT distribution arrangement with Amazon as the movie was falling apart, but Amazon rejected his proposal and was unwilling to offer the producer any additional money for early release. According to Dil Raju’s agreement with Amazon, “Thank You” would be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video four weeks after its release.
“Thank You” directed by Vikram K. Kumar and written by BVS Ravi. Thaman provided the music. The project is bankrolled by Dil Raju. Rashi Khanna played the main female lead in this film. Malavika Nair and Avika Gor played crucial roles.
