Telugu movie buffs are rejoicing in the euphoria of the re-releases of some trend-setting classics by their favourite stars. The remastered 4K versions are getting an enthusiastic response from the fans.
It all began in August with Mahesh Babu’s “Pokiri”, which was released on a record-breaking 400 screens in Telugu states and the US. Now this record has been broken by Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s “Jalsa” 4K re-release. The “Jalsa” remastered version got 501 shows on its re-release. A new record in Indian cinema’s history The film will be released in theaters on September 1 and will be on view until September 2 in theaters.
Powerstar fans were going crazy over the “Jalsa” re-release. The tickets were selling out like hot cakes. The “Jalsa” movie received skyrocketing booking from the audience. As per the sources, the flick has received 96 % occupancy through pre-bookings in Hyderabad. To date, gross collections are estimated to be 60 lakhs.
Additionally, Pawan Kalyan’s “Thammudu” shows are also screening in the Telugu states along with “Jalsa”. Power Star fans are celebrating these re-releases of movies as a part of the star’s birthday celebrations.
In the month of October, Rebel star Prabhas’ fans will also join this re-release trend with the movie ‘Billa.’ On Prabhas’ birthday, Billa remastered in 4K special screenings will be held all over India.
