‘Adipurush,’ the Prabhas-starring movie, is apparently out of the Sankranthi box office battle. This news is backed by most of the trade reports. Additionally, a new release date may be anticipated by the team this week, according to rumours. However, this abrupt move from Om Raut and his crew has left Prabhas’ supporters unimpressed.
The producers of “Adipursuh” put 500 crores in the project and hope for a solo release, but things seem to be going the other way for “Adipurush.” The main market for Prabhas is Telugu. Adipurush’s Telugu rights were acquired by UV Creations for 100 crores. This made things difficult for “Adipurush” since Sankranthi Chiranjeevi’s “Walther Veeraiah” and Balakrishna’s “Veera Simha Reddy” are releasing in Telugu states. The three-way fight will not be advantageous to any movie, thus “Adipurush” must postpone its scheduled premiere. On the other hand, “Adipurush” in Tamil Nadu would suffer greatly if its release coincides with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu and Thalapathy Vijay’s “Varisu” this Sankranthi.
One of the causes of this issue is the unimpressive teaser. No other major Telugu film would have dared to release at the same time as “Adipurush” if the teaser had received excellent feedback, but because it didn’t, other movies have seized the opportunity.
‘Adipurush’ is expected to release in the summer, according to some rumours, while other reports claim that January 6 will be the new release date for the movie. Let’s wait for the makers to make an official announcement.
