Rishab Shetty’s pan-India film ‘Kanatara’ OTT release date locked

Kantara, the latest pan-Indian blockbuster, is all set to make its OTT debut. The Kannada-based folklore film have won immense love from the audience around the nation. Though the film had a limited release when it was released in Karnataka, due to its extraordinary word-of-mouth, it was soon released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. The flick emerged as a sensation in all languages. The film grossed more than 50 crores in Telugu alone.It has broken the KGF Chapter-2 records in Karnataka. The film did extremely well in the North Belt, too. Kantara has grossed more than 350 crores worldwide.

Amazon has bought the streaming rights to “Kantara” for an undisclosed amount. Initially, the makers had thought to release it after a month of theatrical release but postponed it due to the film’s exceptional response in all languages. Now it’s official that “Kantara” will stream on Amazon Prime Video starting November 24.

Kanatara is expected to break many records on the OTT platform too. Rishab Shetty acted and directed this flick. Sapthami Gowda played the female lead.
