S.S. Rajamouli Joins Times 100 Influential Global Personalities along with American President, Elon Musk, Sharaukh Khan etc. First Indian Director to Achieve This Distinction

Among the directors that make India proud, the ace filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli stands at the forefront. Each of his films can be called a masterpiece, as he consistently raises the bar, competing with his own previous works. When a Rajamouli film is in the making, the entire country will anticipate something big and also the breaking of existing cinematic records. His recent movie, ‘RRR,’ shattered numerous records, and the film’s song ‘Naatu Naatu’  earned an Oscar Award, bringing pride to the entire nation. Rajamouli has recently reached another milestone by being featured in a prestigious Time Magazine list.

In 2023, the renowned Time Magazine released a list of 100 influential global personalities, and Rajamouli made it to the list, creating a record as the first Indian director to achieve this feat. Alongside Rajamouli, the list includes prominent Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, writer Salman Rushdie, judge Padma Lakshmi, American President Joe Biden, British Royal Charles, SpaceX’s Elon Musk, and many others. Other notable personalities like singer Beyoncé, Syrian swimmers Sara Mardini and Yusra Mardini, and supermodel Bella Hadid also secured spots on the list. Rajamouli’s inclusion among these global icons is no ordinary achievement.

In Time Magazine, prominent Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt wrote a profile on S.S. Rajamouli. She praised his vision for cinema and said, “Rajamouli knows his audience well. He has the recipe for making a hit movie. He is extremely skilled in choosing stories. India has a diverse population with different cultures and tastes. Rajamouli unifies everyone through his films.” Alia Bhatt also penned a profile on Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, listing him among the world’s most famous actors. She praised his generosity and philanthropy.

Rajamouli is set to direct his next film with Mahesh Babu. This has already led to high expectations for the movie. Every day new news circulates about the film. It was recently rumored heavily that Rajamouli would make the film in three parts. Since Rajamouli hasn’t denied this, speculation continues to grow. On the other hand, the film’s budget is said to be INR 1000 crores, but once the shooting starts, it could go up to INR 1500 crores. It has also been trending on social media that Rajamouli might take at least eight years to release all three parts of the film. However, an official announcement is still awaited.
