This Week’s OTT &  Telugu Movie Releases (5th  July)

The impact of “Kalki 2898 AD,” starring Prabhas, continues to affect new film releases this week. Its box office success has made directors and producers hesitant to release their films, resulting in no new movies in theaters this week. However, from July 1 to 7, as many as 24 movies and series will debut on various OTT platforms. Disappointingly, none of these are Telugu films. Let’s take a look at the major films and web series set to premiere on OTT platforms this week.

OTT Releases: Films/Web Series

Aham Reboot

Starring Sumanth as the lead, “Aham Reboot” quietly made its way to OTT. This psychological thriller, directed by Prashant Sagar Atluri, skipped theaters and started streaming on Aha from June 30. The movie, which was experimentally crafted with a single character and set against the backdrop of a radio show in one room, promises an intense experience.

Sasi Madhanam

The Telugu web series “Sasi Madhanam,” a romantic love drama, is ready to stream this week. It will be available on the ETV Win platform from July 4. Pawan Siddhu and Sonia play the main roles, having already become popular for their work together in several short films. Their chemistry is reportedly also off-screen, which might add an extra layer of intrigue to the series in “Sasi Madhanam.”

Mirzapur Season 3

The Mirzapur series is well-known for its massive popularity on Amazon Prime. The previous two seasons, released not just in Hindi but also in various South Indian languages, have been highly successful. This week, “Mirzapur Season 3” is set to premiere. Available in Hindi, Telugu, and other South Indian languages starting July 5, the new season continues from where the last one ended. Guddu (Ali Fazal) has taken over the throne of Mirzapur after the death of Munna (Divyendu Sharma). The season explores how Guddu governs Mirzapur and deals with local gangs that attempt to challenge his authority.
