This Week’s OTT &  Telugu Movie Releases (1st & 2nd August)

July was dominated by Prabhas‘s film, “Kalki.” Now, August is set to entertain with several movie releases. Although the first week will feature several smaller films that haven’t generated much buzz, movies like “Shivam Bhaje,” “Buddy,” and “Antony” are set to try their luck at the box office. Movies Releasing in Theaters

Buddy

After a long break, Allu Sirish is making a comeback with the film Buddy. Starring alongside the young actress Gayatri Bhardwaj, this film is directed by Sham Antos as a full-length action entertainer. Produced under the banner of Studio Green Films by Gyanavel Raja, the promotional material already released has sparked interest. The film is set to release worldwide in theaters on August 2.

Shivam Bhaje

Starring Ashwin Babu, the brother of anchor Ohmkar, and Digangana Suryavanshi, “Shivam Bhaje” is directed by Afsar. The film presents a unique story and narrative, with Arbaaz Khan playing a significant role. Having completed its shooting, the film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 1. The movie team has stated that viewers will experience excitement throughout the film.

Usha Parinayam

Introducing Vijay Bhaskar’s son Sree Kamal as the lead, Usha Parinayam is directed by Vijay Bhaskar himself. Tanvi Akanksha stars as the heroine. With a unique love story and emotional elements, this film is set to release in theaters on August 2.

Tiragabadara Saami

With a youthful entertaining storyline, Raj Tarun is coming to entertain the audience, starring alongside Malvi Malhotra and Mannara Chopra. Important roles are played by Makarand Deshpande and Raghubabu. This film is also set for release on August 2. The movie team claims it will attract young viewers with romantic elements as well as family audiences with its sentimental content. However, the controversy involving Raj Tarun and Lavanya might affect the film. Last week’s release, Purushottamudu, was a flop at the box office. Alanaati Ramachandrudu

Moving to OTT, a documentary on the celebrated director Rajamouli titled ‘Modern Masters’, the series ‘Brinda‘ starring Trisha, the Telugu dubbed versions of ‘Dune Part 2’, and ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes‘ have created significant buzz among OTT viewers.
