  • HBD Ram Charan: Did You Know the Restrictions Chiru Placed on Ram Charan During His Childhood?

As the son of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan stepped into the industry and carved a unique star status for himself in Tollywood. Making his debut with “Chirutha,” Ramcharan went on to score an industry hit with his second film “Magadheera.” With “Rangasthalam,” he proved his acting prowess, and “RRR” elevated him to a global star status. On the occasion of Charan’s birthday, let’s delve into some fascinating details about his childhood.

Ramcharan was extremely shy in his childhood. He rarely participated in family functions. While Allu Arjun and Allu Sirish danced, he would just watch them and cheer.

Today, Ramcharan’s dancing skills can be attributed to the talent inherited from Chiru. Interestingly, Charan never took any dance coaching except for acting lessons. It’s remarkable how he mastered dancing without formal training.

Growing up, Ramcharan wasn’t particularly interested in movies, which could partly be due to Chiranjeevi’s influence. Chiru made sure that the allure of cinema didn’t distract Charan.

To ensure Charan focused on his studies, even movie posters were not allowed at home. Chiru granted “cinematic freedom” to his son only after he completed his 10th grade.

As for Charan’s academic life, he was an average student and never stayed in one school for more than two years.

Throughout his childhood to teenage years, Charan frequently changed schools and colleges. In total, he has attended 8 schools and 3 colleges. However, sports, more than studies, captured his interest.

He learned horse riding as early as the fourth grade, showcasing his skills in “Magadheera.”

Chiru was just as strict about bike riding as he was about movies, hence he didn’t encourage Charan to pursue bike riding.

Charan has a great love for pets and often gifts them to relatives and friends on their birthdays or weddings.

Every year, Charan is seen wearing a new spiritual thread, believing it brings peace and discipline into his life.

Charan married Upasana, Vice-Chairperson of Apollo Hospitals, in 2012. The couple has a daughter named Klin Kaara.

Chiranjeevi’s comments on his movies, whether it’s about a dance or a fight scene, hold great importance to Charan.

After watching “Dhruva,” Chiru appreciated Charan for doing justice to his role and character. Watching “Rangasthalam,” Charan’s mother was moved to tears, making these moments unforgettable for him.

To date, Ramcharan has entertained Telugu audiences with 14 diverse films including “Chirutha,” “Magadheera,” “Orange,” “Racha,” “Govindudu Andarivadele,” “Dhruva,” “Rangasthalam,” and “RRR.”

Currently, he is busy with “Game Changer,” directed by the renowned director Shankar, which is set to release soon.

Charan is also working on a film (#RC16) directed by “Uppena” fame Buchibabu. The film, where he stars opposite Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, recently had its puja ceremony.

Furthermore, Charan has officially announced another project, “RC17,” with director Sukumar, following the blockbuster success of “Rangasthalam.” This collaboration has set high expectations among fans.
