Barbados, A New Republic Nation

Barbados, a Caribbean nation just after it became a Republic Country declared pop star Rihanna as their “National Hero ”. Barbados was freed from Britain on November 30, 2021 and became a New Republic nation. Barbados was a British Colony for 396 Years, though it got Independence in 1966, it wasn’t a Republic Country till yesterday. Now Barbados removed Queen Elizabeth as its head and elected Sandra Mason as Its New President.

Rihanna is the top Pop Star born in Barbados Capital Bridgetown. Rihanna grew up with Lot of Problems in childhood. She became popular with her “Umbrella” Song In 2007, after American producer Evan Rogers recognised her talent . At the age of 16, Rihanna became a Big Pop Star.  “Umbrella” Song has won many Awards. Barbados country in 2008, declared 22 February as Rihanna Day. 

Prince Charles Attended Event

On November 30, 2020 Barbados became a New Republic Nation. Britain’s Prince Charles attended the President’s swearing-in Ceremony. Prime Minister Motley in the beginning of the event said that “ On Behalf of Barbados, we proudly declare Ambassador Robyn Rihanna Fenty as National Hero”. Prime Minister Motley in this event invited Rihanna on Stage.

Rihanna Joins Top 10 Heroes

With the declaration of Rihanna as National Hero, she joins the list of 10 Barbadians Heroes. Another notable Barbados hero is Sir Garfield Sobers. Rihanna’s total net worth is 1.7 Billion Dollars. Rihanna is also an Entrepreneur, she holds the cosmetic company Fenty Beauty which is valued around 1.4 Billion Dollars.
