A purported leaked video of Prabhas film Adipurush is causing a meltdown amongst fans. This much anticipated ‘Om Raut’ directed movie has Prabhas playing Lord Ram. It does seem that the film will be high on cutting-edge VFX, judging from what one can make out from the video. That is pretty much along expected lines, considering the fact that Om Raut’s previous movie, the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji boasted of some spectacular VFX imagery as well.
High tech cutting edge visual imagery is something that fans have come to expect from Parbhas’s movies as well, right from the Bahubali days. It will be very interesting to watch Prabhas essay on the role of a much-revered divine figure like Lord Ram. Considering how successful the Bahubali movies were (also set in the past), there is little doubt that Adipurush will be a blockbuster too. Besides, the movie will also hold universal appeal on account of its religious background.
The leaked video, however, may not necessarily be from the movie and maybe a tribute by a fan, as is often the case in the lead-up to the release of a much-anticipated movie. Be that, as it may, the buzz generated by the leaked video can only augur well for the movie in question. Movie marketing these days is a high-stakes business, where promotion to create a prerelease buzz is an integral part of the effort. The fact that often enough it is the fans who play a stellar role in this by making content pertaining to a movie about to be released go viral only makes the anticipation surrounding it all the greater. Adipurush sure has all the makings of a mega-blockbuster.
