Bheemla Nayak was directed by Shekhar K. Chandra and starred Pawan Kalyan and Rana. It was a remake of the Malayalam super hit Ayyappan Koshyam. Trivikram Srinivas, who wrote the dialogues and screenplay, adapted and expanded the story for the Telugu audience. The music for the film is given by Thaman.
Bheemla Nayak is a sincere police officer. He works at the Kurnool District Hatakeswaram Mandal Police Station as a Sub Inspector. Daniel Shekhar (Rana), who comes from a politically powerful family, is a veteran of the Indian army. While on duty, Bheemla Nayak searches vehicles carrying liquor bottles in the forest at night and apprehends Daniel Shekhar. Daniel Shekhar gets into an altercation with the cops for attempting to stop him. Daniel is then beaten and dragged to the station by Bheemla Nayak. Daniel also raises his hand in opposition to Bheemla Nayak. Daniel believes Bheemla Nayak’s power stems from his police uniform and devises a plan to make Bheemla lose his job. He intends to use his family’s political clout to exact revenge on Bheemla.
Why is there such enmity between the two because of a single incident? In what way was Bheemla Nayak’s job lost? How will the two reconcile their differences? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out the answers to these questions.
At the pre-release event, Pawan Kalyan stated that the plot of the film is a battle between pride and self-respect. In this story, there are no heroes or villains. How long can those situations last when two powerful people are confronted by people desperate for self-esteem? Where will it end if no one falls…? Who will emerge victorious in the end…? The film’s plot is intended to show this. To accommodate Pawan Kalyan’s massive fan base, Trivikram made some changes to the film and added some new scenes. In theatres, whistles accompany Bheemla Nayak’s dialogues. Rana also excelled in his role as Daniel Shekhar, portraying a man who was proud of his political background. Bheemla Nayak’s wife was played by Nithya Menon. Nithya Menon’s character in Telugu has some scenes that are not found in Malayalam. Pavan Kalyan praised her performance as a wife.
Critics who claim the trailer’s music is bad are now claiming that theatres are going crazy with the music. Thaman’s background music elevates the film even more. The songs have already gone on to become mega-hits. The title song of Lala Bheemla visually screams. The filmmakers have succeeded in re-making the film appealing to all audiences. The production values of Sithara Entertainment are high.
