Fans of Vijay Devarakonda are looking forward to Liger

A film starring Vijay Devarakonda has not been released in over two years. As a result, fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the big screen. Vijay’s most recent film, World Famous Lover, was released in the year 2020. However, Vijay made a cameo appearance in the film Jatiratnalu in 2021. For the next two years, Vijay was preoccupied with Liger. Puri Jagannath directed Liger, a pan-India film starring Vijay. Puri Jagannath’s filming is usually completed quickly, but with COVID, the filming was interrupted twice. Another reason is that this is Puri’s first big-budget film for Pan India.

Liger, on the other hand, has a central theme centred on boxing and a different story. The stakes have already been raised by the release of movie posters and teasers. Filming has come to an end. However, due to a large backlog of major films in a row, the release date has been set for August 25, 2022.

Vijay Devarakonda appears in the film for the first time with a six-pack and a fighter’s physique. Vijay has put in a lot of effort for the film to completely transform his body physique. The film crew, as well as the hero, are very optimistic about the film’s success. Fans are excited to see their favourite hero in this role for the first time.

Anannya Pandey plays Liger’s heroine. Puri Connects and Dharma Productions collaborated on the film’s production. It is worth noting that, for the first time in history, boxing legend Mike Tyson appears in a Telugu film. Photos of the film crew with Tyson went viral on social media during the shoot.

Even in the film industry, there are high expectations for this film. Hotstar, a leading OTT provider, has already purchased OTT rights for Rs 65 crore. There have also been substantial offers to stream Liger live on OTT. However, the producers rejected it because they were confident in the film.

After devoting a significant amount of time to Liger, Vijay is attempting to accelerate the release of his subsequent films. His next film will be directed by Sukumar, and the one after that will be directed by Shiva. Puri Jagannath will also direct another Pan India film Janaganamana, in which he will star. Fans are hoping that Vijay’s career will take off as a result of this.
