KGF: Chapter 2, Enters the 1000 Crore Club!

Rocky Bhai’s Mania has been shaking the Indian box-office for the past 2 weeks. Trade analysts say that the rage of KGF: Chapter-2 is not done yet.

In barely two weeks, KGF: Chapter-2, starring Yash, has broken the 1000 crore mark at the global box office. KGF: Chapter 2 is the fifth Indian film to be included in this prestigious group. In the list of 1000 crore films, the Yash starrer joins Dangal, Baahubali 2 and RRR. KGF: Chapter 2 is the first Indian film to gross three-digit figures for four consecutive days. This Kannada-origin film grossed 203 crores in its second week, bringing its total domestic gross to 826 crores. Despite some huge releases in Tollywood and Bollywood, the film maintained a strong hold, dropping only 60% from its opening weekend.

KGF is now the biggest Hindi film in the country. In the Hindi-speaking region, the film is a smash hit. This film caught the interest of the Bollywood audience, who had been eagerly waiting for furious young man characters in Bollywood films and had now fallen in love with this Sandalwood film as their Bollywood big guns failed to fulfill their wish. With 350 crores at the Hindi box office, KGF: Chapter 2 has now stood next to Dangal and Baahubali 2 as the third most grossing Hindi film. It has beaten Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai, Amir Khan’s PK, and Rabir Kapoor’s Sanju to take this place.

KGF’s stroke, according to industry trade analysts, is not yet over. A gigantic Eid weekend is expected, according to analysts. Yash’s KGF: Chapter-2 will continue to rage this weekend, As Ajay Devgan’s Runway 34 and Shaid Kapoor’s Jersey are making no noise at the box office. If the buzz continues for another week, KGF: Chapter 2 will undoubtedly become the all-time blockbuster.
