Samantha is all praise for Gangubai Kathiawadi Trailer

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was all praise for the new release Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer. Samantha wrote on her Instagram Stories-“Badass and how. Alia Bhatt you are incredible #Gangubai”. The movie which will release on February 25^th is premiering at the Berlin Film Festival and has been garnering praise from various quarters, not the least amongst Alia’s peers in the Indian film industry.

Apart from Samantha, actress Anushka Sharma, her beau Ranbir Kapoor, yesteryear actress Neetu Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Mouni Roy, and Shreya Ghoshal praise for the trailer. Gangubai is a period film adapted from a chapter in Hussain Zaid’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. 

The movie is notable for the fact that it brings together filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ali together for the first time, apart from bringing Ajay Devgn’s reuniting with Bhansali a long time after the release of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The high praise that Alia has received on account of the trailer from the likes of fellow trailblazers like Samantha only goes to prove that the film fraternity is ever ready to support and encourage their own.

There is something about strong female actors like Samantha and Alia that makes them stand out of the crowd and command attention. They have a sort of a natural magnetic charisma that crackles and sizzles on screen. This is especially true of Alia who has proved herself to be a veritable powerhouse of talent essaying a diverse range of loans. It is not surprising that she has impressed everyone so much with just the trailer of the movie. One can imagine her absolutely slaying it with her performance once the movie releases in the latter half of February. More power to her.
